Whitaker-Long Scholarship

Norman J. Whitaker and Ronald J. Long Sr. were two remarkable men who were driven to provide for their families, businesses, and communities. Their commitment to giving back to their communities exemplifies how we can all make a lasting impact on the people around us and our world.

In honor of their fathers, Rick Whitaker and Joel Long have established the Whitaker-Long Scholarship, providing financial assistance and resources to students in need.

We hope this scholarship will continue the legacy of Norman J. Whitaker and Ronald J. Long Sr. by providing financial assistance to students in need who will improve the future of our industry and communities.

Requirements:

Must be the child of an employee currently working for, or an individual currently working for, a PHCC of NC Member company.

Must reside in NC.

Aged 16 -25 years old.

Involved in extracurricular activities.

Two letters of recommendation.

Copy of transcript from the most recent education institution.
